Experience the mountains in a very different way! Via Ferrata is a network of paths, protected by cables that run high through the mountains. Via Ferrata Dolomites.
The pathways were originally installed with steel wire along high mountain trails for the safe passage of soldiers during WWI. These paths have now been updated to a high standard that allows adventurers follow these old trails deep into the mountains.
Each participant is equipped with a harness, helmet and specialist lanyard that they use to secure themselves to the cables. This exciting activity allows participants to access high cliffs and lofty mountain tops that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Our route follows a 5-day route that traverses the Brenta Dolomites, we travel from hut-to-hut as we stay high in the mountains for the duration of our trek.
The group will be lead by highly qualified and experienced guides who love to share their passion for the mountains.
Outdoors people who are reasonably fit. We’ll be trekking and climbing for 5 days continuously. You will be carrying your day kit for the 5 days (the huts provide all food and sleeping materials).
We also include a Zoom briefing for all participants in advance along with ongoing support and assistance.
There are no hidden extras – all specialist equipment hire is included: technical kit, in-country transport, catering etc.
The first and last night will be spend in chatel/hotel accommodation at village level. The other 4 nights will be spend in the mountains huts which provide comfortable dorm style accommodation with hearty meals and refreshments.

This experience is 7 Days in duration. This gives us 2 days travelling and 5 days in the mountains.
No, but you do need a good level of fitness and agility. We would advise that participants also have a good head for heights and maybe try rock climbing in advance. The trails involve climbing ladders and traversing exposed paths high in the mountains
We’ll provide a full kit list in advance. You will need boots, rainwear, warm jacket, gloves, hat etc. We’ll provide the technical kit.
We have space for 8 – 12 participants on this Via Ferrata Dolomites experience depending on the route we choose.

Daytime temperatures are very pleasant but mornings and evenings can be cool.
Yes, it certainly is and we plan our routes accordingly. We also take other preventative measures like keeping hydrated, climbing high/sleep low and other steps. There is no need for the use of preventative medications. Even with all the steps above some people still feel the effects but these generally wear off after a couple of days. Via Ferrata Dolomites.
No, we may be passing some snow patches but the mountains are generally clear of snow at this time of year. While Via Ferrata routes run hight through the mountains we won’t encounter avalanches.
Italian mountain huts are very comfortable and serve great food. Sleeping is in large open dorms, earplugs are essential! Dinner is usually 3 courses with a traditional stew or similar. Huts can accommodate some dietary requirements but usually, everyone eats the same meal- there is no menu!
Flights, you can arrange these yourself or we can have our travel partner. The extra kit as per the kit list. If you’re missing anything we can advise on how to best purchase, any extra tours etc. Lunches each day are at participants’ expense and available from the huts.
It is essential that all participants take out additional travel insurance for the trip. This should cover repatriation to UK/Ireland and rescue fees. Your insurance must list Via Ferrata as an activity. Let us know if you need details on insurance companies. We also advise that you apply for your EHIC (formally E11).
